Registration of sports utility vehicles (SUV) in the hard/soft category witnessed a decline in the nine months of the current calendar year.
A total of 3,929 SUVs were registered from January to October in 2020, while it was 4,703 compared to the same period in the previous calendar year, as per statistics provided by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).
Of the total SUV registration, some 3,578 were registered in Dhaka.
A total of 5,627 SUVs were registered in 2019, it disclosed.
A total of 5,555 SUVs were registered in 2018 while the number was 5,425 the year before, the transport regulator added.
