A total of 5,381 auto-rickshaws were registered across the country in the first two months of the current calendar year, according to official figure.
Of them, only 54 got registration in Dhaka in January to February 2020, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).
A total of 30,967 auto rickshaws were registered in 2019 while 21,638 auto rickshaws were registered in 2018, the transport regulator data showed.
