A total of 170,015 motorised vehicles were registered across the country in January to June 2020.
Of the vehicles, 47,392 were registered in Dhaka during the period, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
The motorised vehicles include bus, truck, auto rickshaw, auto tempo, cargo van, covered van, delivery van, human hauler, jeep(Hard/Soft) Microbus, minibus, motorcycle ,pick up van, ambulance, (double/single cabin), private passenger car ,special purpose vehicle, tanker, taxicab, tractor and others.
The BRTA data also revealed that 504,130 vehicles were registered in 2019 while 497,374 in 2018.
