Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate mobile court drives on Sunday fined different people, vehicles and businesses a total of Tk 31,700 for allegedly violating the government’s social distancing measures amid the ongoing coronavirus shutdown.

Several DMP teams, headed by its executive magistrates, conducted the drives in the capital and fined 16 shop owners, seven vehicles and three people in several cases for breaching the order.
