Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) sealed off Fu Wang Club early Thursday after a large amount of illegal liquor was seized from it.
The elite force also arrested three people in this connection. The arrestees are Jahid, Xavier Jerry D’Costa and Chanchal, reports UNB.
Director (Legal and Media) of the RAB Headquarters Lt Col Sarwar-Bin-Kashem said around 2,000 bottles of foreign wine, 10,000 cans of beer and Tk 700,000 were seized from the club.
Nearly 3.0 per cent of the liquor was stored illegally and the club could not show relevant papers for the extra alcohol, he said.
