Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan, director (in-charge) of Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, from his Manipuripara residence in city’s Tejgaon area early Thursday.
A team of RAB-2 conducted a drive at his residence and arrested him around 12:00 am, said Commanding officer of RAB-2 Lieutenant Colonel Asif Billah.
The elite force members also recovered unspecified quantity of liquor from the house, reports UNB.
RAB also detained three other people from the house for interrogation.
RAB conducted the drive following recovery of casino board, cards, gambling boards and liquor from Mohamedan Sporting Club Ltd in city’s Motijheel area on September 22.
