President M Abdul Hamid on Monday asked newly appointed High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Kenya Major General Md Jahangir Kabir Talukder to explore business potentials in Kenya along with other adjacent countries.
The head of the state came up with the directive as the new envoy paid a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban in the city.
During the meeting, the President said both Bangladesh and Kenya have huge potential areas to be explored, President’s press secretary Joynal Abedin said.
The President also directed the new diplomat to utilise these possibilities for the betterment of the two countries.
The high commissioner also sought cooperation from the President.
Secretaries concerned to the President were present on the occasion, reports BSS.
