BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is going to visit the Rohingyas  in Cox's Bazar on Sunday, according to a member of its top policymaking body.

The decision was taken at the standing committee meeting at the Chairperson’s Gulshan Office on Monday night, he said, seeking anonymity.

The senior party leader said Khaleda will start her journey for Cox's Bazar on Saturday and she will stay overnight in Chittagong on Saturday.

Later on Sunday morning, he said, the chairperson will resume her journey and visit the Rohingya camps in the tourism district, according to UNB.

The party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is scheduled to disclose the decisions of the meeting today (Tuesday) at a press conference at its central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka.

Khaleda for the first time attended her office through holding the meeting with party policymakers since she returned home on October 18 after staying in the UK for more than three months in a row.
