Police arrested two young men on Thursday in a case filed over the alleged gang rape of a housewife in Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka.
The arrestees were identified as Shimul, 19, and Jewel, 18, reports UNB.
Zakaria Hossain, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station, said the victim filed a case against the duo in the morning. Later, police arrested them from the area.
According to case statement, Shimul picked up the housewife while she was returning home at night. Later, the duo threatened to the kill the woman and raped her.
Police sent the victim to one-stop crisis center of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
