A team of Dhaka Customs House arrested a man with 2.950 kgs of gold from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday night.
The arrestee was identified as Sheikh Sadi, reports a news agency.
Solaiman Saif, Assistant Commissioner of Dhaka Customs House, said flight MH196 landed at the airport from Malaysia at around 11:30pm.
Tipped-off, a preventive team of the Customs house challenged Sheikh Sadi, a passenger of the flight and recovered 2.950 kgs of gold worth Tk 15 million after searching his body.
The arrestee was handed over to police.
