The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday predicted rain or thundershowers for different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 6:00pm.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal, Dhaka, Chattogram, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions,” said a met office bulletin issued on Friday evening, reports BSS.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, the bulletin added.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly.
Besides, rain and thunder showers may increase in the next five days.
The highest temperature was recorded today 36 degrees Celsius at Noakhali’s Maijde Court and minimum temperature 18.2 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Panchagarh.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours was recorded 42 millimetres (mm) in Khulna and Satkhira.
