Journalists and media employees on Thursday formed a human chain demanding the ninth wage board to be implemented before Eid-ul-Fitr with some other demands.
Under the banner of ‘Workers and Sangbadik Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad’, media personnel formed the human chain in front of the national press club in the city.
Their demands included— issuing gazette notification for the ninth wage board, payment of unpaid salaries, stop unethical termination of media men.
They urged the authorities concerned to meet their demand before Eid and 9th wage board by June 15, otherwise tough movement would be demonstrated to press their demands.
Among others, BFUJ president Molla Jalal, BFUJ general secretary Shaban Mahmud spoke at the event.
