The High Court has ordered 14 registered companies to stop production, distribution and sales of pasteurised milk for five weeks across the country.
The HC bench of Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed and Justice Md Iqbal Kabir gave the order on Sunday after the discovery of lead and other hazardous substances in the products, reports bdnews24.com.
The bench also advised customers to refrain from buying pasteurised milk, marketed by the 14 companies with approvals from Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institutions, for the same period.
