Govt cancels passports of five Bangladeshis

The Directorate of Immigration and Passport has cancelled passports of five Bangladeshis, now staying in Brunei, for their involvement in visa trading, human trafficking and exploitation of workers.

The Ministry of Home Affairs took the action recently following media reports on exploitation of Bangladeshi workers by a section of middlemen, according to a statement issued by the Bangladesh High Commission in Brunei.

The five Bangladeshis are Delwar Md A Latif, Jasim Sarker, Mohammad Suhel Ahmed, Rabiul Habibur Rahman and Jakir Hussain.
