A man died of dengue while undergoing treatment at Khulna City Medical College Hospital in the early hours of Friday.
The deceased was identified as Ibrahim Sheikh, 77, of Brokkhogati village in Dighalia upazila of Khulna, reports UNB.
Khulna Civil Surgeon Dr ASM Abdur Razzak said the man died of dengue fever while undergoing treatment at the ICU of the hospital.
Family sources said Ibrahim Sheikh who was suffering from fever and respiratory complications since Tuesday was shifted to KCMC after his condition deteriorated at Islami Bank Hospital.
With this latest casualty, the total number of death due to dengue fever has reached 23, civil surgeon office sources said.
