DNCC fines several places in anti-dengue drive

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) fined Tk 22,000 at several places of its areas in the capital on Monday.

Eight mobile courts of the DNCC conducted the drives aiming to help prevent breeding of Aedes mosquitoes during the current month (May) and in the upcoming rainy season.

The DNCC carried out drives at the city’s Uttara, Mirpur -2, Mohakhali, Shyamoli, Shewrapara, Kafrul, Kallyanpur, Mohammadpur’s Bosila and Askona areas.

 Several house owners were also served notices to this end.

Journalists, eminent personalities of the area and officials and employees of the health department of the DNCC, among others, were present during the operation.

The DNCC's mobile courts will continue tomorrow to protect the city dwellers from dengue through curbing Aedes mosquito.
