Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) continued its relief distribution among distressed, homeless and helpless people amid the coronavirus shutdown.
On Wednesday, under the initiative of the DNCC, 8,654 people received relief in the capital.
Of the total, the DNCC distributed reliefs to 7,021 people while the rest were provided by councillors and different organisations.
The city corporation gave different relief items to a total of 79,660 families until Friday.
Earlier, the DNCC launched two hotline numbers to provide emergency relief to the needy and poor people in the wake of deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the country.
