Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has fined different people and organisations a total of Tk 70,100 for violating the government’s social distancing measures.
Several DMP teams, headed by its executive magistrates, conducted the mobile courts in the capital on Thursday.
They also fined two under construction buildings, four vehicles, and 22 shop owners in 26 cases for breaching the order.
Law enforcement agencies with the help of Bangladesh Army have been implementing the government directives on social distancing throughout the country aiming to stem the spread of coronavirus.
