The Shipping Ministry on Wednesday launched a control room to deal with various issues centring Cyclone Amphan.
The control room central number is 9546072, said a press release. It started operating at 8:00am today (Wednesday) and will be open at a stretch till 10:00pm on May 22.
The maritime ports of Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist great danger signal number 10 while Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar have been advised to hoist great danger signal number 9, reports UNB.
