Health Services Division Secretary Abdul Mannan’s wife, Kamrunnahar, died of Covid-19 disease at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on early Sunday, UNB reports.
“Kamrunnahar breathed her last at 12:30am,” Personal Secretary to the Abdul Mannan told the news agency.
She was admitted to the hospital on June 10 after getting infected with coronavirus, he added.
Earlier on June 04, Mr Mannan, chairman of the Land Reform Board, was made secretary to the Health Services Division.
Bangladesh has so far reported 84,379 coronavirus cases and 1,139 deaths.
