Child killings during the period from January to August 2020 increased drastically across the country, according to a local independent rights body.
A total of 408 children were killed in the first eight months of the current calendar year whereas 282 were killed in the same period of the last year, according to the report of the Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK).
The report added that as many as 195 cases were lodged in connection with those incidents in January to August 2020 while the number was 123 in January to August 2019.
A total of 488 children were killed in 2019 whereas 364 were killed in 2018, the rights body report said.
