BGB recovers 0.54m yaba in Cox’s Bazar

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel recovered 0.54 million Yaba pills from a boat in Naf River in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar district on Saturday.

Lt Col Faisal Hasan Khan, commander of BGB-2 battalion said, tipped off, a BGB team conducted a drive at Domdomia Omarkhal on the bank of Naf River.

Sensing their presence, a group of Yaba traders fled the scene sinking their boat in the river.

Later, the BGB team recovered the Yaba pills from the boat, he added.
