Automatic disinfectant spraying system has been installed at CPH

An automatic disinfectant spraying system has been installed at the entrance of the Central Police Hospital (CPH) in Dhaka aiming to help contain outbreak of the COVID-19.

 Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Saiful Islam Santu, who works at the hospital, made the modernised system after watching a video on YouTube.

The disinfection system is playing a key a role in curbing the spread of the novel coronavirus, said the police official.

Vehicles are being disinfected through this gate from Wednesday. In this way, vehicles as well as ambulances along with other vehicles are being disinfected through the system successfully.

Every day a large number of policemen and their families come to the police hospital for medical treatment, Mr Islam said.

Earlier this disinfection was done manually, he added.

The CPH is the top hospital of Bangladesh Police and was established in 1954. Under a project titled 'Modernization of Bangladesh Police Hospitals', the hospital was elevated from 70 beds in 1997 to 250 beds in 2005.
