Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate mobile court drives on Monday fined 25 shops a total of Tk 34,000 for allegedly violating the government’s social distancing measures.
Several DMP teams, headed by its executive magistrates, conducted the drives in the capital and fined the 25 shops in as many cases for not following the guidelines.
Law enforcement agencies with the help of Bangladesh Army have been implementing the government directives on social distancing throughout the country aiming to stem the spread of coronavirus.
