Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate mobile court drives on Friday fined different shops a total of Tk 39,500 for allegedly violating the government’s social distancing measures.
Several DMP teams, headed by its executive magistrates, conducted the drives in the capital and fined 22 shop owners and a person in 24 cases for breaching the order.
Law enforcement agencies with the help of Bangladesh Army have been implementing the government directives on social distancing throughout the country aiming to stem the spread of coronavirus.
