Sport-utility vehicles (SUV) in hard/soft category registration in city witnessed a slight hike in 2018 compared to that recorded in 2017.
A total of 4,864 SUVs were registered in 2018, while the number was 4,712 the year before, according to the statistics provided by Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).
At the latest, a total of 42,386 such modes of vehicles have been registered with the BRTA in the capital until 2018, it said.
The number of registered jeeps in the capital stood at 3,109 in 2015 and 4,217 in 2016, the BRTA data further added.
