UGC chairman receives death threat in a letter

University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan received a letter carrying a threat to kill him on Tuesday.

UGC Security Officer Syed Ashrafuzzaman filed a general diary with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station in this regard on Wednesday.

In the general dairy, he also sought security measures for the UGC chairman, reports UNB.

Nur Hossain, claiming to be a resident of Savar, sent the letter to the chairman’s office over the general post.
