Two minor siblings die after drowning in B’baria

Two siblings drowned in a pond at Modhhaparain Akhaura upazila in Brahmanbaria on Friday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Jannat, 8, and Sayeed, 6, daughter and son of Masuk Mia of the area.
The brother and sister slipped into the pond while playing beside it in the evening, said Monianda Union Parishad Chairman Md Kamal Bhuyan, reports UNB.
Later, locals recovered the bodies from the pond and rushed them to upazila health complex where the duty doctor declared the victims dead, he added.
