74 deaths reported in custody last year

Two prisoners died in custody across the country from January - February in 2019, according to an independent rights body.
Of them, one was under trial prisoner while the other one is convict, according to a report of Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK).
One convicted prisoner died at Mymensingh Central Jail while the another one under trial prisoner at Khulna Central Jail, it added.
A total of 74 prisoners died in custody across the country in 2018, according to it.
Of them, 45 were under trials and 29 were convicts, ASK said in a report.
