Shah Ahmed Shafi dies a day after resignation

Shah Ahmed Shafi, chief of Hifazat-e Islam, has died in hospital care in Dhaka, a day after resigning from the Harhazari madrasa in Chattogram as its director general, according to bdnews24.com.
He passed away at Asgar Ali Hospital at 6:40pm on Friday, said Maulana Abdur Rauf Yusufi, a leader of the organisation’s Dhaka metropolitan unit.
