Robi obtains stay order for NBR to release its accounts

Robi Axiata Limited has successfully concluded outstanding administrative and process matters with the National Board of Revenue (NBR).
Thus, the company received a stay order from the courts to release its bank accounts on Tuesday, as per directive of the High Court, according to a release.
The order issued on 26 February 2018 was due to an outstanding amount to the value of Tk 187.2 million taka in Value-Added-Tax (VAT) and Supplementary Duty (SD).
Earlier, the dispute had arisen as a result of a claim lodged by the Large Tax Payers Unit (LTU).
