Police arrest Barrister Mainul in defamation case

Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Detective Branch (DB) officials arreted Barrister Mainul Hosein on Monday night from the capital’s Uttara area under Rangpur defemation case.
Mainul was detained from Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-JSD President ASM Abdur Rab’s home, according to various television channels and news agencies.
The former caretaker government adviser has been facing intense criticism since Oct 16 when he called a female journalist Masuda Bhatti ‘a woman of loose morals’ in a Ekattor TV talk show.
