Pabna road mishap takes lives of two

Two people, including a woman, were killed and four others injured when a truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Nurpur area on Pabna-Gachhpara road in Sadar upazila on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Bodiuzzaman, 42, son of Khabir Uddin of Hejrampur village in Sujanagar upazila, Fatema, 23, a NGO worker of the area, wife of one Shahidul Islam of Shibpur village of Chatmohar upazila, reports a news agency.
Md Shaiful Islam, duty-officer of Sadar Police Station, said the accident took place around 12:10 pm as a truck coming from opposite direction rammed the auto-rickshaw, leaving Fatema dead on the spot and five other passengers of the auto-rickshaw injured.
Locals rescued the injured and sent those to Pabna General Hospital.
Bodiuzzaman succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.
