Minor boy drowns in Thakurgaon pond

A minor boy drowned while taking bath in a pond of Hawda village under Baliadangi upazila in Thakurgaon on Saturday noon.
The deceased was identified as Rabbi, 7, son of Dulal Uddin of Goalkari village and a class one student of Goalkari Government Primary School in the upazila.
Locals said Rabbi went to visit his grandmother’s house at Hawda village and drowned in deep water in a nearby pond in the noon, UNB reported.
Later, locals rescued him in an unconscious condition and rushed him to upazila health complex where the duty doctor declared him dead.
