Mild quake shakes northern districts

A 4.6 magnitude earthquake shook northern parts of Bangladesh on Saturday morning.

The mild tremor was felt around 7:14 am in the northern districts, according to Dhaka Met Office.

The epicentre of the earthquake was in Assam in India, some 272 kilometres north of Dhaka's earthquake observatory, a local news agency reported citing Met office.

However, there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
