Massive fire engulfs Sitakunda oil depot

A massive fire has broken out from an oil depot in Chattogram’s Sitakunda.

The depot for storing oil collected from vessels at ship-breaking yards at Fouzdarhat caught fire at around 2:00pm on Wednesday, according to bdnews24.

Two ajdoining vehicle showrooms have also been damaged due to the fire, reports UNB.

Twelve fire-fighting trucks are struggling to douse the flames, said Jashim Uddin, deputy assistant director of the Fire Service at Chattogram.
