India deported 16,845 Bangladeshis from Delhi in 15 years, says media report

India deported 16,845 illegal Bangladeshis since 2004 to January 2019 from the eight districts of its national capital of Delhi.
India's English-language daily Asian Age reported this, citing the data provided by Delhi police.
Illegal immigration of Bangladeshis, especially Muslims, to India has in recent years become an hot-button issue.
