Hall-Mark chairman gets 3 years jail term

A Dhaka court has sentenced Hall-Mark Group Chairman Jasmine Islam to three years in jail in a case filed by the graft regulator for not submitting a wealth statement.
On Tuesday, Judge Akhtaruzzaman of the Fifth Special Judge's Court of Dhaka passed the verdict in the case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission five years ago, according to a bdnews24 report.
She was also fined Tk 2 million, which must be paid within seven days.
