Fire breaks out at Kallyanpur slum

A fire broke out at the capital's Kallyanpur slum on Sunday night.
The blaze started around 8:50 pm at the number-9 slum near Notun Bazar, said Md Shahjahan Shikdar, Deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
On information, 10 fire-fighting units rushed to the spot to tame the blaze. Four more units are on the way to join the extinguishing operation, he added.
