Filmmaker Tareque Masud’s family to get Tk 46.17m in compensation

The High Court (HC) on Sunday ordered the authorities to pay Tk 46.17 million as compensation for family members of renowned filmmaker Tareque Masud who was killed in a road crash in 2011.
Cinematographer Mishuk Munier, died in the same accident in Manikganj, as a bus hit their car while travelling .
Justice Zinat Ara and Justice Kazi Md Ejarul Haque Akondo ordered the bus driver, its owner and the insurance company to pay Tk 46.17 million in compensation.
