Engineer, two others die in Savar road crash

At least three people were killed and five others injured as a pick-up van hit a truck on Dhaka-Aricha highway at Boliarpur of Savar upazila early Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Engineer Zahurul Islam, 55, of Mir Akhter Group, pick-up driver Khalilur Rahman, and Nurunnabi, reports a news agency.
Ajgar Ali, a sub-inspector of Savar Model Police Station, said the accident took place when the Dhaka-bound pick-up from Sirajganj hit the truck from behind, leaving the three passengers of the van dead on the spot and five others injured.
On information, police recovered the bodies.
