Director General of DGHS in isolation with COVID-19 symptoms

Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad, Director General of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has been kept in isolation as he started to show mild symptoms of COVID-19.

Dr Azad confirmed this to The Financial Express on Tuesday.

“I have mild fever, malaise and headache,” Dr Azad said when contacted, adding he is being tested for COVID-19.

Earlier, one of his family members tested positive for COVID-19.

Additional DG (Admin) Professor Dr Nasima Sultana has taken over as the acting Director General.
