Customs officials detain Hundi trader with Indain rupees

Benapole Customs intelligence officials arrested a Hundi trader along with 350,000 Indian rupees from Benapole check post area in Jessore on Friday noon.
The arrestee was identified as Safikul Islam Howlader, 35, son of Abser Howlader, a resident of Joynagar village of the Zajira upazila in Shariatpur district.
Sadik Hossain, deputy commissioner of Benapole Customs Intelligence there was a secrete report that a Hundi trader was carrying huge Hundi money from India.
"Then a team of customs intelligence detained him and seized 350,000 Indian rupees searching his body," he added.
UNB says, a case was filed with Benapole Police Station.
