Customs Intelligence officials arrested an employee of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and a passenger along with 1.2 kilograms gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday.

The arrestees are Omar Faruk, a ground service traffic supervisor of Biman, and Kazi Qamrul Islam, a passenger, reports UNB.

Custom officials said Qamrul arrived at the airport by a flight of Biman from Kuala Lumpur around 4:30 am.

A CIID team caught them red handed at the boarding bridge area of the airport while Qamrul was handing over the gold to Faruk.
