Clinker-laden cargo sinks in Rupsha River

A cargo vessel carrying 1035 metric tonnes of clinker sank in the middle of the Rupsha River in Khulna on Thursday afternoon.
Officer-in-charge of Rupsha Police Station Rafiqul Islam said the cargo vessel - MV-BB 134 started to sink in the middle of the river around 2:30 pm when a crack developed at its bottom, reports UNB.
The vessel sank within an hour, he said. No casualty was reported till filing of this report.
