Central bank's good offices sought to repay Qcoom clients' money

The commerce ministry has sought the central bank's steps to pay back Tk 590 million to the 6,721 customers of the online shopping platform Qcoom.
The ministry has sent a letter to the governor of Bangladesh Bank in this connection.
Currently, a total of Tk 1.65 billion of Qcoom customers are stuck in the payment gateway Foster Payments.
When contacted a senior official of the commerce ministry said: "We are expecting to start to pay back stuck funds to the Qcoom clients concerned very soon as we have received a partial list from the Qcoom and the payment gateway Foster.
