Banks to remain open on Saturday

Branches concerned of all scheduled banks will remain open on Saturday (June 30), the last day of fiscal year 2017-18, to provide cheque, chalan, pay-order or demand draft services to clients for payment of their income tax, VAT and customs duty.
Bangladesh Bank (BB) today (Wednesday) issued a circular with necessary instructions in this regard. It asked the banks to take adequate security measures for those branches as it is a public holiday, reports BSS.
