Abducted minor boy found dead in Cox’s Bazar; one held

Police recovered the body of a minor boy, who was abducted from his residence on Monday, from inside a sack at Matamuhuri Bridge in Cox’s Bazar’s Chakaria upazila on Tuesday.

The two-and-half-year old boy was identified as Mohammad Al Wasia, son of Shahab Uddin of Sabujbagh area.

Bakhtier Uddin, officer-in-charge of Chakaria Police Station, said a woman, wearing burqa, took Wasia away alluring him of giving chips on Monday afternoon and since then he remained missing.

Shahab Uddin, informed the matter to police, reports UNB.

Police after a search operation, recovered the body in the afternoon from near a bridge, which was kept inside a sack.

Police also arrested Munni Akter for her alleged involvement in the murder.
